ABOUT COLLEGE PRO PAINTERS

College Pro Painters is a North American student painting company that offers residential painting services during summer months in local communities. Since 1971, we have been committed to providing our student franchise managers with a world-class leadership training program and small business management experience. We have painted over 250,000 homes, developed over 10,000 Franchise Managers, 100,000 Painters, and completed charity work and community service in every US state and Canadian province where we operate.

OUR COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Since 2004, student franchise managers and general managers have participated in charity events and donated services equating to over $760,000 to improve community spaces and housing in underprivileged areas across Canada and the United States. Many of these charitable projects occur during our student manager’s spring breaks, and have resulted in improving the quality of life for many people. Our company’s core purpose ‘together, realizing potentials’ uniquely mentors and challenges students to become successful community leaders.

OUR PAINTER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

In 2006, we initiated a painter scholarship program. The “working for humanity” scholarship was created in February of 2006, and is awarded to 3 Painters each summer. The purpose of the scholarship is to send Painters to a third world country to volunteer their time so that they can help people in need. Furthermore, they can bring back their experience and learning to share with all of College Pro. It is important to College Pro to help our Painters learn and grow as well as help others in need.

Cross Cultural Solutions (CCS) is a non-profit organization that helps us facilitate the volunteer work. Once the Painter is selected, they simply get in touch with CCS and choose three things: First, when they want to go; secondly, where they want to go; and lastly what type of volunteer work they desire. College Pro Painters pays for all of their expenses with CCS, including their flight, meals and accommodation. We also pay for their wages that they will not be earning while away. That way they can still volunteer and make some money to go back to school in the fall.
OUR SPONSORSHIP OF RACE ACROSS AMERICA AND KIDS HELP PHONE

In addition to the above, College Pro was a proud Gold sponsor and fund-raiser of Peter Oyler’s Race Across America to support and raise funds for Kids Help Phone in Canada www.kidshelpphone.ca. Peter Oyler www.peteroyler.com is a multi-sport athlete and a seasoned adventure racer who competed in the race in June 2007, and plans to compete again in 2009. The Race spans over 3,100 mile from coast to coast in the US and Peter finished it in 11 days and 4 hours in 2007. We will again be a major sponsor for Peter and Kids Help Phone as he competes in 2009.

OUR PARTNERSHIPS

We have partnered with a number of like-minded organizations: DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America—the High School Division; and Delta Epsilon Chi Association-the College Division), an international association of high school and college students studying marketing, management and entrepreneurship in business, finance, hospitality and marketing sales and service. We are also in partnership with SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) and their Canadian counterpart ACE, which is an international network of student, academic and business leaders who have made a commitment to create a better world with better leaders—individuals who have the ability and are willing to put forth the effort to make a meaningful contribution to their communities, and are working together to improve the lives of others. In addition, we have established partnerships with NACE (National Association of Colleges and Employers), CEO (Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization), and PSE (Pi Sigma Epsilon—a professional sales organization for students). We fervently believe in these organizations and feel that they too provide students with unmatched learning opportunities.
